Weave Robotics, a San Francisco startup, is taking preorders for Isaac 1, a wheeled home robot with two arms and a torso that rises from 3 feet to 5 feet 9 inches, at $7,999 up front or $449 a month on a subscription, according to its Isaac 1 product page. A $250 deposit, refundable until the robot ships, holds a place in line, and Weave's preorder page lists California deliveries beginning in fall 2026, with wider US availability in 2027. Weave began taking preorders in July. As of October 20, the preorder page is still open, and cobesa has found no public report of a customer delivery.
Weave says the robot picks up dirty clothes, carries loaded hampers, folds and puts clothes away, makes beds, and returns toys, shoes and clutter to their places. It says that, depending on the home, Isaac 1 may also load and unload a washer and dryer. These are company claims. The only footage cobesa has found of Isaac 1 at work is Weave's own, and cobesa has found no reporter or owner account of the robot in a home.
Weave discloses that a remote human operator steps in when the robot needs help. Its FAQ says: "Isaac 1 is autonomous for Laundry Flow and Daily Reset by default, with teleoperation assistance when needed to guarantee we complete tasks." Laundry Flow and Daily Reset are Weave's names for the laundry and tidying jobs, so some of those jobs may be finished by a person operating the robot remotely.
What this means for buyers
A buyer can reserve Isaac 1 and budget for it now, but the $250 deposit reserves a place in line rather than a robot. Under Weave's Pre-Order Agreement, delivery requires a separate order agreement, and either side can cancel before that agreement is signed, with the deposit refunded.
The same agreement discloses that the robot is still in development, that final specifications may differ materially from Weave's demonstrations and marketing, and that delivery timing may change. A buyer reserving today is reserving the robot Weave eventually ships, which may not be the one in the videos.
Weave says buyers will have the option to see Isaac 1 working before taking delivery, either in person at a Weave location or by video call. That gives a buyer a look at the robot before it arrives, though the demonstration is still one Weave runs.
What we don't know
- What the optional $99-a-month premium membership includes, and the term, cancellation and ownership rules of the $449-a-month subscription. Weave's pages do not state them.
- Whether the deposit stays refundable after the order agreement is signed. Weave's FAQ says it is refundable until the robot ships. The Pre-Order Agreement covers cancellation only before signing.
- How often Isaac 1 needs a remote operator.
- Whether Weave's 24-month warranty policy, which does not name a model, applies to Isaac 1.
- Whether Isaac 1 works in homes with more than one floor. Its base is wheeled, and Weave's pages do not address stairs.
What to watch
The first California deliveries. A delivered unit and the first owner accounts would be the first evidence of Isaac 1 at work outside Weave's own demonstrations.
