Flourish 1 deposit drops to $200, subscription set at $50 a month

Flourish Robots now asks a $200 deposit to preorder Flourish 1, its order page shows, down from the $1,555 listed when cobesa reported the preorder opening on October 4. The page also now prices the subscription for the robot's advanced AI features, a cost that report listed as unknown: 6 months included, then $50 a month. Owners can skip it by using their own graphics card, the page says, without saying what kind. That report, citing Flourish, described a home computer with a high-end graphics card for the most demanding chores. The $3,555 price, the 50-unit run and the December 2026 ship estimate are unchanged.

What this means for buyers

Reserving a Flourish 1 now ties up $200 instead of $1,555, refundable until shipping, according to the page. That lowers the cost of holding a place while the December date is tested.

The subscription now has a price. A buyer without a graphics card of their own pays nothing extra for the first 6 months, then $600 a year, by cobesa's arithmetic, to keep the advanced features. The terms allow Flourish to change or end those cloud services.

The terms have not caught up with the page. They still say payment is taken in full at the time of order, the conflict cobesa noted in its earlier report. They also say the purchase price includes no subscription. Neither change touches the no-warranty, no-returns terms that report covered.

What we don't know

• Whether the 6 included months start at order, at shipping or at delivery.

What to watch

A revised version of Flourish's terms of sale. Until it appears, the page and the terms describe different offers.
