Figure founder and CEO Brett Adcock said in an October 19 post on X that a Figure 03 had walked on a treadmill for 9 straight days, covering 348 miles and 1.2 million steps. He called it a side project to stress the robot and look for failures, and indicated the run would continue. That makes it a durability test Figure is running on its own hardware, and the numbers so far are Figure's own.
Adcock did not say whether one robot covered the whole distance, how fast it walked, or whether anyone stepped in to repair or swap parts. Aamir Khollam of Interesting Engineering describes a power cable attached to the robot in the time-lapse Adcock posted, and Oliver Bünte of heise online reports that it ran on an external wired power supply. Those conditions decide how much the mileage says about a single Figure 03.
F.03 just crossed 9 straight days walking on this treadmill: 348 miles and 1.2 million steps. Started as a side project to stress the robot for any failures. Let's see how long it can go

What this means for buyers
This changes nothing a buyer can purchase today. Figure's Figure 03 product page lists no price or home-sale date, as of October 21, 2026.
What the test does offer is an early, company-reported signal on a question every owner will face: whether the legs and joints hold up under heavy repeated use, the kind of wear a short demonstration can't show.
The treadmill run doesn't speak to battery life. Figure lists a 5-hour runtime on its product page. If the robot was on wired power, 9 days of walking shows how long the hardware kept going, not how long Figure 03 runs between charges in a home.
The conditions are narrow. A treadmill is a flat, moving belt, with no turns, stairs, doorways, or loads to carry. Moving through a home involves all of those, and chores add work for the hands. What held up here was straight-line walking.
What to watch
Adcock indicated the test would continue. A final tally that says whether one unit walked the full distance, and whether anything was repaired along the way, would show how much of the mileage belongs to a single Figure 03.
